The places we list range from cottages near Caalan Beach, a short walk from town, to quieter stays near Nacpan Beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in the Philippines.

El Nido town and Caalan

Best for island tours and restaurants

The town is busy and compact, with restaurants, bars and tour agencies packed into a few streets beneath the cliffs. Boats leave from the town beach each morning.

Caalan Beach, at the northern end, is quieter, with small guesthouses and a view of the bay, yet still a short walk from the centre.

Nacpan and Calitang

Best for long, quiet beaches

About 45 minutes north of town, Nacpan is a four-kilometre curve of golden sand backed by palms, joined to smaller Calitang Beach to form the famous twin beach. There are a few guesthouses, beach bars and little else.
