See today's offersKoh Phi Phi is two islands with towering limestone cliffs and some of the most photographed water in Thailand. Phi Phi Don, the larger island, is where everyone stays; Phi Phi Leh, home to Maya Bay, has no accommodation and is visited by boat.
Almost everything on Phi Phi Don happens on the narrow strip of sand between Ton Sai Bay and Loh Dalum Bay, where the pier, shops, dive schools and bars are packed together. There are no roads for cars, so you walk everywhere. The places we list are all in or close to this village.

Ton Sai village is the centre of everything; the further you walk or boat from it, the quieter the island gets.
Best for convenience and nightlife
The village sits on a sandy isthmus between two bays. Ton Sai Bay, on the south side, has the ferry pier; Loh Dalum, on the north, is a shallow, beautiful bay that turns into Phi Phi's beach-party zone at night. Everything is within a few minutes' walk, which is handy but can be noisy late into the evening.
Best for quieter beaches
A short longtail ride or a 20 to 30 minute walk from the village, Long Beach has views of Phi Phi Leh and good snorkelling. Further north, Laem Tong and Loh Bagao have a handful of quieter resorts reached by boat.
In or near Ton Sai village if you want restaurants, nightlife and easy ferry connections; further out, such as Long Beach or Laem Tong, if you want peace and don't mind boat transfers.
The area around Loh Dalum Bay can be loud until late with beach parties. Rooms set back in the village or on the Ton Sai side are usually quieter.
By ferry or speedboat from Phuket, Krabi, Ao Nang or Koh Lanta to Ton Sai pier. Journey times are usually around 1.5 to 2 hours by ferry.
Yes, by boat from Phi Phi Don. Rules for visiting have changed in recent years to protect the reef, so check current arrangements when you book a tour.
